WWC174 - Gail's "All About Occasions" Challenge

Woo Hoo!  It's Gail's turn to host one of our favourite challenges, the "All About Occasions" challenge.  There are endless types of occasions that come around all year long.  This is our chance to share what we create.

We have some awesome cards to share with you all, but first we have to say goodbye to two of our team members.  Penny Hanuszak, one of our long-term Watercooler Artists and Tenia Nelson, who hasn't been with us as long, are both leaving for personal and family reasons.  We'll miss their wonderful creativity.

As a result, we're having a Design Team Call.  Read carefully and please follow our instructions if you are interested in being considered for our team.

          1.  Please email Heidi Weaver at krikittycat@yahoo.ca with your
reasons for wanting to be part of the team and what you believe
you can bring to the challenge.
          2.  Please link your creation up to the challenge.  There is no need
to put DT.  We will check out your blog as well as the card you
               link up.
          3.  We run this challenge as a team effort.  We have a new challenge
each week  to which to whole team contributes.  Everyone is
expected to vote for their top choice each week.  Deadlines and
rules are in place for the whole team to follow.
          4.  Deadline for DT call:  June 25th.  We will choose the new
Watercooler Artists before the end of June and their first challenge
               will be July 4th.

Now that we have that piece of business out of the way, let's get down to our awesome samples.  As usual we have some terrific projects by the Watercooler Artists to get your creative juices flowing.  You can see how many different Occasions our team has covered for this challenge.   For details on how the Watercooler Artists created their projects, just click on the name underneath and you will be taken to that blog post.  We begin with Gail's beautifully crafted and coloured Christmas card:

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.
Remember:

          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.
          2.  You must link your project back to our challenge (details at top of    page).
          3.  You must link directly to your post, not simply your general blog.
          4.  Please link to no more than 8 challenges, including ours.
          5.  Have fun!

Please use the link-up below to share your project.  This Linky will close on Monday, June 18th  at 5:00 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time.

Tenia's choice for our Watercooler Rock Star is Ishani's beautiful pink lily design.  Well done!  Following the winner are the Watercooler Artists choices for the Watercooler Rockers.

Tenia's Winner:  OMWOW!! This card is so GORGEOUS!! That flower is just GORGEOUS!! She did a wonderful job on the watercoloring!!!

Congratulations, Ishani!  Here is your badge to proudly display on your blog designating you as our Watercooler Rock Star.

Now it's on to the Watercooler Artists choices for our Watercooler Rockers.  They are shown in no particular order.

Marsha's Choice:  I love these beautiful flowers and butterflies Chris has used in her design. The stitched borders really set off this CAS card.

Gail's Choice:  This is such a fun technique of visualizing images in the ink blots. I think this is a work of art sure to bring a smile to anyone's face!

Kath's Choice:  The coloring is amazing!

Penny's Choice:  I'm a big fan of this girlfriends out on the town image and love the way Jane has used all the images to create such a happy fun night out card!

Charlotte's Choice:  A beautifully coloured image and a fantastic clean and simple design. The enamel dots are a perfect way to finish off the card.

Heidi's Choice:  What a gorgeous card! The stamped and coloured garland following the lines of the bike and extending beyond it top and bottom is stunning. Love the die-cuts and that adorable bird on the seat of the bike.

Helen's Choice:  Tammy has created a wonderfully elegant vintage look card with her clever selection of pretty colours and elements to build her design.

Congratulations, Chris, Sue, Nancy, Jane, Aileen, Robyn and Tammy.   Here is your badge to proudly display on your blog designating you as one of our Watercooler Rockers.

There you have our Rock Star and Watercooler Rockers lineup for this week!  Be sure to come back tomorrow, June 13th, for our next Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  You won't want to miss out on all the wonderful designs by our Watercooler Artists.

WWC172 - The Winners

Hello and welcome!  It's time to announce our Rock Star and Rockers for our "Anything Goes" challenge.  But first, we'd like to thank all those who played along with us.  You're entries this week were fantastic!  You are making it harder and harder on us to make our choices as we think you are all stars.  Well done!

Marsha's choice for our Watercooler Rock Star is Ishani's lovely CAS flower garden.  Well done!  Following the winner are the Watercooler Artists choices for the Watercooler Rockers.

Marsha's Winner:  I love Ishani's beautiful CAS design. I love the bright, cheerful flower garden and the cute, happy bees buzzing around.

Congratulations, Ishani!  Here is your badge to proudly display on your blog designating you as our Watercooler Rock Star.

Now it's on to the Watercooler Artists choices for our Watercooler Rockers.  They are shown in no particular order.

Kath's Choice:  I love this card! The silhouette is wonderful!

Gail's Choice:  The no-line watercolour technique used is very well-done. Using the Foil Frenzy DSP and the pearlized doily peeking out from behind the bloom add a lot of interest.

Heidi's Choice:  LOVE the penguin! Adore the wonderful background.  To take that die-cut and make it appear as if he’s somehow keeping the die-cut “O” from falling is so creative and well planned. Love it!

Penny's Choice:  I'm head over heels for the placement and design of the sentiments. And, Kara has done an amazing job of colouring this great stamp image of dogs and giving them such unique features including pink cheeks. Love it!

Charlotte's Choice:  Mac's CAS mixed media design is so different, and shows a great way to use layered embossing powder. I love the shimmer and shine, and the subtle stamping behind the focal element really helps pull the card together. Fabulous design.

Helen's Choice:  Chris has created a fabulous pirate card with her bold coloured pirate image and great background made of a collection of themed images and papers.

Congratulations to Cathymac, Jenny, Trina, Kara, Mac Mable and Chris.   Here is your badge to proudly display on your blog designating you as one of our Watercooler Rockers.

There you have our Rock Star and Watercooler Rockers lineup for this week!  Be sure to come back tomorrow, June 6th, for our next Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  You won't want to miss out on all the wonderful designs by our Watercooler Artists.
