WCC29 -- Bev's Special Folds Challenge

Welcome to our new challenge.  This one is brought to you by Bev, a long-term member of the Watercooler Artists.  Bev has put together a terrific special fold challenge for us.  The challenge is wide open for any type of fold.  Check out the Watercooler Artists' cards and then think about which special fold you'd like to share for this challenge.  The sample photo shows a whole bunch of possible special folds, just for fun.

Of course there are so many other special folds out there.  You'll see some among the Watercooler Artists' cards and you'll probably know some other, special ones yourselves.  We're looking forward to seeing them.

To start off challenge WCC29, here is Bev's special fold card.  Isn't it wonderful how Bev has folded each strip of Designer Series Paper at the end of the zig-zag to give the impression of a fluttering butterfly?  It really enhances the die-cut butterfly at the bottom of her card, doesn't it?  You can find out more details explaining how this card was created by clicking on Bev's name just under her card.  This also applies to the cards presented by the remaining Watercooler Artists.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

Remember:
          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.
          2.  You must link your project back to our challenge (details at top of page).
          3.  You must link directly to your post, not simply your general blog.
          4.  Please link to no more than 4 challenges, including ours.
          5.  Have fun!

Please use the link-up below to share your project.  This Linky will close on Friday, August 7th at 7:30 a.m. Mountain Daylight Savings Time.

WCC28 -- The Winner!

Sometimes the submissions for a challenge are all so excellent that it's almost impossible to choose a winner.  This was one of those times.  It wasn't until this morning, when our absentee Watercooler Artists had a chance to submit their votes that we finally broke the tie.  Congratulations to Gail Allen.

Gail's card uses the colours in Buffy's challenge beautifully.  It is a wonderful example of CAS (clean and simple) and, on top of that, is elegant as well.  Congratulations, Gail and thank you for joining the challenge.

Below is our Watercooler Challenge Winner's badge which we invite you to display on your blog.

Thank you Susie and Kathe for submitting your beautiful cards.  The quality of the linked up cards made picking a winner very difficult.  Please remember to come back tomorrow (July 26th) for the new challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WCC28 - Buffy's Color Challenge

Welcome to a new Watercooler Challenge.  This week our challenge is brought to you by Buffy.  Buffy always makes amazing cards and this week she chose a color challenge for us.
Here are the colors Buffy picked:

Below is Buffy's entry.  Isn't it gorgeous?  She chose to use Pink Pirouette for her card background.  Then she embossed a piece of Wisteria Wonder cardstock with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up!  If you look closely, her butterfly is sparkly!  It looks like it just landed and the card.  If you would like more details on how Buffy made this amazing card, click on her name below the card.  It will take you to her blog.

The one thing nice about color challenges is you can make anything you want.  Please keep in mind if you don't have those exact colors, it is ok!  Just use what you have.

Now scroll down and see the rest of the amazing creations made by our Design Team. Again, if you would like more details about any of the cards all you have to do is click on the name below the card.

Don't forget to link your own card at the bottom.  Maybe you will be chosen as this week's winner!

No Winner This Week

There won't be a winner announced this week because there were only two entries and we require three in order to have an official winner.  Although, we are not picking someone, I think both entries are winners!  Susie and Jaylin did an awesome job with Jackie's Iris Fold Challenge.  Thanks to both of you for participating.

Our next challenge will be tomorrow, Sunday, July 12th.  It is a color challenge by Buffy.  Come check out the participating artist's creations.  We hope you will join us and link your own card using these colors.  See you on Sunday!
