WWC48 - Heidi's "Anything Goes--with Snow" Challenge

Before we get into our new challenge, it's time to say good-bye to two of our talented Watercooler Artists.  We will definitely miss their wonderful projects and inspirational challenges.  Their lives have, however, become so busy that they each feel it's time to take a step back.  We all know how that can be.

And now to Challenge WWC48

Yes, it's time for another "anything goes" challenge and this time Heidi is challenging us to include a bit of snow in our projects.  Whether it's a snowflake, a blizzard or anything in between, as long as there is some snow to be seen, the project is eligible for our new challenge.

Yes, that's a snow globe in the photo but it's only there to show off the snow.  Of course that doesn't mean you can't use a snow globe if that's your inspiration.  As you will see from the wonderful variety of projects which our Watercooler Artists have created, there are many ways to include snow.  As usual, you can click on the name under the card to go to the blog post and discover all the details about the products and creation of the card.  Let's begin with Heidi's elegant Christmas card.

WWC47 -- The Winners!

It's that time again.  Today we pick our winners.  It's good to see some steady participants and some that have come back.  Colour challenges are a lot of fun, aren't they?  And Marsha's colour inspiration picture really provided some wonderful inspiration.

With such talented participants, it's never an easy task to pick our winners.  In the end, however, it was Deborah Smart's gorgeous flight through the blues, introducing the Sky is the Limit Sale-a-bration stamp set, which stole the show.  That bi-plane, the watercolour background and the heat embossing put her card in the winner's circle.  Congratulations for "rocking the Watercooler" this week, Deb.

WWC47 - Marsha's Color Inspiration Challenge

Welcome to this week's Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  Marsha Reed has provided us with a beautiful inspiration photo for this challenge.  This photo and color swatch are ours to use thanks to Design Seeds.  You'll see a wonderful variety of projects created using these colors, for all sorts of occasions.  Surprisingly, they work beautifully for Christmas as well.

WWC46 - The Winners

It's that time again.  Today we pick our winners.  It's nice to see some  new names among the participants.  Jean's CAS masculine challenge was a lot of fun, wasn't it?

With such talented participants, it's never an easy task to pick our winners.  In the end, however, it was Leanne Johnson's stunning card which put her ahead in the votes.  That vellum propeller as well as the vellum embossed with clouds and set over the embossed circle put her card in the winner's circle.  Congratulations for "rocking the Watercooler" this week, Leanne.

WWC46 - Jean's Masculine CAS Challenge

Welcome to our new Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  This week we feature a type of challenge we haven't posted before, and that's Jean's CAS challenge.  What is CAS?  CAS is an acronym for "clean and simple".  Generally speaking that would mean keeping layers to a minimum, leaving quite a lot of white space, and having no embellishments or a minimal number.  White space does not have to be white.  It can be whatever colour the mean layer of the card happens to be.  Is that as clear as mud?  Jean has tweaked her CAS challenge just a bit more by making it a masculine challenge.

Doesn't that look debonair?  You will find, as you look through the wonderful samples our Watercooler Artists have created, that there are a great many ways to create a CAS card.  And then, when you are filled to the brim with inspiration, create your own CAS card and link it up for us to see.  For details on how Jean and the other Watercooler Artists created their projects, just click on the name underneath and you will be taken to that blog post.

WWC45 - Susan's Sketch Challenge

Welcome to our new Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  This week we feature a sketch by Susan Horr.  It's a deceptively easy sketch which allows for a whole range of interpretations.
