WWC56 - Anything Goes!

WooHoo!  It's time for another "Anything Goes" challenge.  This is a great time to showcase one of the cards you haven't posted yet.  Something you created for a class or for someone close to you.  A little 3-D project you've made.  Even a card you've made for another challenge.  Of course, when you see the wonderful cards created by our Watercooler Artists, you may be inspired to make a brand new card for this challenge.  As we said, anything goes.

What is Anything Goes?  It is simply a project which you have created and wish to share.  There are no restrictions or rules.  That's what this week's challenge is all about.  Enjoy sharing your wonderful creations.  We look forward to the surprises.  Here are a few projects created by the Watercooler Artists in the order in which they were submitted:

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.  Please note that this challenge will extend over two weeks to allow time to enjoy the holidays.

Remember:
          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.
          2.  You must link your project back to our challenge (details at top of page).
          3.  You must link directly to your post, not simply your general blog.
          4.  Please link to no more than 4 challenges, including ours.
          5.  Have fun!

Please use the link-up below to share your project.  This Linky will close on Monday, February 29th at noon Mountain Standard Time.

WWC55 - The Winner!

It's that time again.  Today we pick our winners.  It's good to see some familiar names among the link-ups.  Colour challenges are fun and draw a lot of participation.  We had some fabulous cards from which to choose.  That's great for the challenge but really tough on the team as we go to pick winners.  Luckily the new members of our Watercooler Artists' team voted this week as well.

As difficult as it is to have such a great selection from which to pick our winners, in the end it was Jenny Gregorsky's wonderfully coloured peacock card which stole the show.  Congratulations for "rocking the Watercooler" this week, Jenny.

Jenny, we hope you'll display your winnter's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

It was a close run among several of the other cards.  Finally we narrowed it down to another two cards, the flowing colours and butterflies of Lynn Starzl's card and Heather Hopson's adorable juggling House Mouse card.

Lynn and Heather, we hope you'll each proudly display the badge, shown below, on your blog.

A warm thank you as well to Heike, Betty, Sheri and Susie for linking your wonderful cards.

Please remember to come back tomorrow (February 24th) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WWC55 - Jean's Colour Challenge

Welcome to this week's Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  Jean Fitch has provided us with a beautiful inspiration photo for this challenge.  This photo was actually taken by Jean of one of her stunning rings.  She has also added a colour palette based on our Stampin' Up! colours to indicate which are the colours for this challenge.  Nice work, Jean.

Colour challenges force one to use just the colours in the challenge, plus a neutral which is "free".  It's not always easy to stay within the palette, but that's why we have challenges---to force ourselves to work outside our comfortable "boxes".  You're going to see some wonderfully varied and diverse creations when you scroll through the Watercooler Artists' projects.  We hope they will get your creative juices flowing so that you will join us and link up your own project this week.  We begin with the hostess of this challenge, Jean Fitch.  As usual you will be able to check out her blog and those of the other Watercooler Artists by clicking on the name under the card.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

Remember:
          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.
          2.  You must link your project back to our challenge (details at top of page).
          3.  You must link directly to your post, not simply your general blog.
          4.  Please link to no more than 4 challenges, including ours.
          5.  Have fun!

WWC54 - No Winner this week!

Unfortunately the Bouncing Brayer Technique has no winner.  We had one linked up card which belongs to Heather Hopson and we wish to recognize her achievement.  Although Heather had to search for her brayer and had not tried this technique before, she found the missing tool and decided to try creating a seascape, inspired by our own Deborah Smart's card.  Heather, your card is lovely.  We're so glad you enjoyed the technique so much that you plan to use it again for more projects.

Kudos to you, Heather for trying out this new challenge.  Your participation is appreciated.

Please remember to come back tomorrow (February 17th) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WWC54 - Marsha's Bouncing Brayer Technique Challenge

We have a great challenge this week.  Have you ever tried doing the Bouncing Brayer Technique?  Well, there are some terrific examples created by the Watercooler Artists to get you excited.  But first, we have a surprise for you.

Introducing the Temporary Watercooler Artists

We have chosen four very creative ladies to join our team for the next three months.  You've seen their names among the participants linking up to our challenges.  Now you'll see their creations week after week and each one will also have the opportunity to host their own challenge during their time with us.

Gail Allen

Libby Fens

Leanne Johnson

Deborah Smart

WWC54 - Challenge

The bouncing brayer technique is being hosted by our own Marsha Reed.  It's a challenge that, as she has warned us, will probably result in inky hands and the danger of getting fingerprints everywhere.  Here are some excellent tutorials which show how the technique works:

This picture is from Kelly Acheson's tutorial for this technique.

The technique can give you some wonderful effects as you'll see from the diverse samples created by our Watercooler Artists.  You can see how some have used only a small area of "bouncing brayer" to show off the technique and some have filled their entire piece of cardstock.  However it is used, the technique is eye-catching.  We begin with Marsha's beautiful Valentine card.  As usual, you can click on the name below the card sample in order to get to the appropriate blog post and see  the details of how the card was created.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

WWC53 - The Winner

It's that time again.  Today we pick our winners.  It's good to see some familiar names among the link-ups as well as several new ones.  Sketch challenges are fun and draw a lot of participation.  We had some fabulous cards from which to choose.  That's great for the challenge but really tough on the team as we go to pick winners.

As difficult as it is to have such a great selection from which to pick our winners, in the end it was Betty Lee's wonderful gate-fold card which stole the show.  Betty not only used the sketch beautifully but also went a step further and made a special fold of it without losing the design's integrity.  The additional stamping on the inside and the matching envelope are just "gravy".  Congratulations for "rocking the Watercooler" this week, Betty.

Betty, we hope you'll display your winnter's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

It was a close run among several of the other cards.  Finally we narrowed it down to another two cards, the happy "fruit" card created by Jenny Gregorsky and the two cards by Susie Nelson, one an A2 size and the other square, showing the versatility of the sketch.

Jenny and Susie, we hope you'll each proudly display the badge, shown below, on your blog.

A warm thank you as well to Libby, Sheri, Priscilla, Deborah, Leanne, Gail, Kathe and Heather for linking your wonderful cards.

Please remember to come back tomorrow (February 10th) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WWC53 - Heidi's Sketch Challenge

Welcome to our very new challenge!  In this area, February is coming in with a "bang".  Suddenly it's become very cold again.  Luckily we can all stay inside and enjoy creating wonderful projects.  We have a great challenge to launch this week.  Heidi Weaver has provided us with a wonderful sketch.

You will see that every card created by the Watercooler Artists is different.  It's not just the colours and stamps that are different but even the shapes have their own interpretations.  You don't have to use that flower shape or even keep the sketch shape square as it's shown.  As long as your interpretation is recognizably this sketch, we encourage you to link it up.  For details on how Heidi and the other Watercooler Artists created their projects, just click on the name underneath and you will be taken to that blog post.

          5.  Have fun!

WWC52 - The Winners!

It's that time again.  Today we pick our winners.  It's good to see some familiar names among the link-ups as well as many new ones.  As usual our "anything goes" challenge was fun and attracted terrific participation.  We had some fabulous cards from which to choose.

With such talented participants, it's becoming a difficult task to pick our winners.  In the end, however, it was Leanne Johnson's wonderful cards which stole the show.  Leanne showed a keen sense of humour and creativity in showing how creatively a stamping error can become one of the focal points of a card.  Congratulations for "rocking the Watercooler" this week, Leanne.

Leanne, we hope you'll display your winnter's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

It was a close run between our next two choices, Gail Allen's and Deborah Smart's cards.  Both ladies submitted beautifully crafted and original cards.

Gail and Deb, we hope you'll each proudly display the badge, shown below, on your blog.

A warm thank you as well to Sheri, Susie, Betty, Heather, Beth and Libby for linking your wonderful cards.

Please remember to come back tomorrow (February 3rd) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.
