WWC78 - Jean's "B" Theme Challenge

Woo Hoo!  It's a Theme challenge and I know everyone loves those.  They're just one step removed from an "anything goes".  This week Jean Fitch has decided to feature the letter "B".  Do you have any idea of how many words begin with the letter "B"?  The Watercooler Artists certainly found out when looking for inspiration for their cards.
As you can see, all you have to do is decide on your own "B" word and use that to feature in your card this week.  Ready to create and link-up?  Want a bit more inspiration?  Just check out the terrific "B" words which inspired our samples this week.  As usual, if you click on the name under each card, you can visit the blog post to see details on how the card was created.  We begin with Jean's adorable field of "Billygoats".

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

Remember:
          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.
          2.  You must link your project back to our challenge (details at top of page).
          3.  You must link directly to your post, not simply your general blog.
          4.  Please link to no more than 4 challenges, including ours.
          5.  Have fun!

Heather, we hope you will display your winner's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

Our Honourable Mentions were voted on by all the Watercooler Artists.  Congratulations to the two who came out ahead, Lynn Starzl and Ina R..  Lynn, you've used our challenge colours beautifully to make your flower come to life!   Ina, it's not easy to match colours from a palette different from your own.  Well done!  Excellent work, ladies!

Lynn and Ina, we hope you'll proudly display the badge shown below on your blogs.

A special thank you as well to Kathe Deck and Susie Nelson  for sharing their wonderful cards.

WWC77 - Marsha's Color Challenge

Woo Hoo!  It's a color challenge and I know everyone loves those.  This week Marsha Reed has decided to feature Very Vanilla as her base color and then added four gorgeous colors to inspire us.  They're Stampin' Up! colors, but don't let that scare you away.  You can use another company's to create your card as long as they are similar to the challenge colors.  Are you up for the challenge?

Colour challenges force one to use just the colors in the challenge.   It's not always easy to stay within the palette, but that's why we have challenges---to force ourselves to work outside our comfortable "boxes".

We have some great samples created by the Watercooler Artists to get your creative juices flowing.  As usual, if you click on the name under each card, you can visit the blog post to see details on how the card was created.  We begin with Marsha's wonderful use of the colours in her special Jar of Love card.

          5.  Have fun!

WWC76 - The Winner

It's that time again.  Normally we have such fun choosing each week's winners.  This week left us having to disqualify a large number of entries.  We've chosen our winners from the cards which actually complied by our "clean & simple" rules.

Since Penny Hanuszak was our hostess for this fun challenge, it was her turn to choose the winner.  Congratulations, therefore, to Lynn Ellis for her wonderful clean and simple card featuring a lovely assortment of stamp sets and colours.

Lynn, we hope you'll display your winner's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

Our Honourable Mentions were chosen by all the Watercooler Artists.  We had some wonderful entries and so it was, as usual, difficult to choose.  In the end, however, it was Fiona Whitehead and Kathe Deck who came out ahead.  Fiona, using the Jar of Love along with the butterfly was brilliant.  Kathe, your long labour of love with that clean and simple technique resulted in a stunning card.

Fiona and Kathe, we hope you'll proudly display the badge shown below on your blogs.

A special thank you as well to Bev, Amy, Heather, Ina, Wendy, Kimbo, Kathy, Maria and Susie for sharing their wonderful cards.

Please remember to come back tomorrow (July 20th) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WWC76 - Penny's Clean & Simple Butterfly Theme Challenge

Welcome to our new Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  This week we feature a challenge that's perfect for this time of year, and that's Penny's Clean & Simple "Butterfly" theme challenge.  We have an easy to follow set of criteria for our Clean & Simple challenges:

Either a single layer upon which we stamp or a base with a single layer
upon which we stamp. Since we use embellishments for any other type of card,
no embellishments or die-cuts or anything except the simplicity of stamping
for the "clean & simple".  We will allow heat embossing since,
if one decides to use a colour, heat embossing would show better
than simple stamping. But no embossing folder embossing. Clean and simple!

We begin with our hostess, Penny Hanuszak, who has used the Papillon Potpourri and You've Got This stamp sets simply and beautifully.  For details on Penny's card and those of the other Watercooler Artists, simply click on the name beneath the card and you will "instantly" be taken to the appropriate blog post.

          5.  Have fun!

WWC75 - Deborah's Sketch Challenge

We have a great challenge this week.  Deborah Smart is hosting a sketch challenge.  There are some terrific samples created by the Watercooler Artists to get you excited.

You will see that every card created by the Watercooler Artists is different.  It's not just the colours and stamps that are different but even the shapes have their own interpretations.  You don't have to leave the sketch upright as it's presented.  Turning it on its side or even upside down can make for a wonderful but acceptable change of pace.  As long as your interpretation is recognisably this sketch, we encourage you to link it up.  For details on how Deborah and the other Watercooler Artists created their projects, just click on the name underneath and you will be taken to that blog post.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

Remember:
          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.
