WWC74 - Marsha's Tag Challenge

Woo Hoo!  What's more fun than something completely new and different?  This week Marsha Reed is presenting exactly that:  something we've never tried before.  Welcome to Marsha's Tag Challenge. What does it entail?  You just have to create a tag.  Yes, it can be a tag by itself.  Yes, it can be a tag featured on a card.  Yes, it can be a tag attached to something.  Lots of options make lots of fun!

We have some great samples created by the Watercooler Artists to get your creative juices flowing. As usual, if you click on the name under each card, you can visit the blog post to see details on how the card was created.  We begin with Marsha's wonderful set of tags.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

Remember:
          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.
          2.  You must link your project back to our challenge (details at top of page).
          3.  You must link directly to your post, not simply your general blog.
          4.  Please link to no more than 4 challenges, including ours.
          5.  Have fun!

WWC73 - Gail's Clean & Simple "Summer" Theme Challenge

Welcome to our new Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  This week we feature a challenge that's perfect for this time of year, and that's Gail's Clean & Simple "Summer" theme challenge.  "Clean and simple", generally speaking,  would mean keeping layers to a minimum, leaving a great deal of white space, and having a minimal amount of embellishing or none at all. White space does not have to be white.  It can be whatever colour the main layer of the card happens to be.  Is that as clear as mud?  Well, with this week's Summer Solstice on Monday, we hope you'll be inspired by some terrific "summery" samples by the Watercooler Artists.

We begin with our hostess, Gail Allen, who has used the Sitting Here stamp set simply and beautifully.  For details on Gail's card and those of the other Watercooler Artists, simply click on the name beneath the card and you will "instantly" be taken to the appropriate blog post.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

Remember:
          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.
          2.  You must link your project back to our challenge (details at top of page).

WWC72 - The Winner

It's that time again.  Today we post our winners for Jean's color challenge.  Since this was Jean's challenge, she chose our winner, Heather Heroldt, whose beautiful card featured all five colours in a lovely brayered leafy design with colourful blossoms scattered here and there.  Click on Heather's name below her card to see the card she created using Jean's colors.

Heather, we hope you'll display your winner's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

Our Honourable Mentions were voted on by all the Watercooler Artists.  Congratulations to the two who came out ahead, Susie Nelson and Betty Lee.  Susie, what a lovely luminous effect you've created with the colours under the intricate die-cuts.  Betty, your joy-fold card not only included the colours but also delighted us with its detail.  Excellent work, ladies!

Susie and Betty, we hope you'll proudly display the badge shown below on your blogs.

A special thank you as well for Heather and Steffi for sharing their wonderful cards.

Please remember to come back tomorrow (June 22nd) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WWC72 - Jean's Color Challenge

Woo Hoo!  It's a color challenge and I know everyone loves those.  This week Jean Fitch has decided to feature all five of the brand new 2016-18 In-Colors.  But don't let that scare you away.  You can use 3 or more of those wonderful colours to create your card.  Are you up for the challenge?

Colour challenges force one to use just the colours in the challenge, plus a neutral which is "free".  It's not always easy to stay within the palette, but that's why we have challenges---to force ourselves to work outside our comfortable "boxes".

We have some great samples created by the Watercooler Artists to get your creative juices flowing.  As usual, if you click on the name under each card, you can visit the blog post to see details on how the card was created.  We begin with Jean's wonderful use of the colours in her special shaker card.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

Remember:
          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.

WWC71 - The Winner

It's that time again.   Today we pick our winner.  Tic-Tac-Toe challenges are great because a person can choose a relatively easy row of three or really challenge themselves by including one of the techniques which were included in the challenge.  We were excited to see what choices would be made by those linking their creations this week.  While there were fewer link-ups than usual, the participants did not disappoint.  We had some wonderful cards among the link-ups.

This week I'm the hostess (Heidi Weaver) and the excellence of the cards that were linked up made my job difficult.  In the end, however, I picked Steffi Hanuschik's wonderful Christmas shaker card.  The clean lines, cute images, and great shaker nudged her ahead.

Steffi, we hope you will display your winner's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

Our Honourable Mentions were chosen by  all of the Watercooler Artists.  Congratulations to Kathe Deck and Melanie R. for your wonderful choices in the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.  Your cards were awesome.

Kathe and Melanie, we hope you'll each proudly display the badge, shown below, on your blogs.

And, a special thank you as well to Heather and Betty Lee for linking their wonderful cards.

Please remember to come back tomorrow (June 15th) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WWC71 - Heidi's Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge

This week Heidi Weaver is bringing you a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.  We hope you're inspired by the choices in the Tic-Tac-Toe boxes.  Those who love techniques will find one or two that could be included.  Those who enjoy special event cards will find choices for those, too.  We've tried to include a little something for everyone.  Just remember, this is like the tic-tac-toe game:  you can pick three boxes in a row, going horizontally, vertically or diagonally.  Your choices are what you will use in creating your card.  We hope you'll have fun playing along.

For details on how the Watercooler Artists created their projects, just click on the name underneath and you will be taken directly to that blog post.  We look forward to visiting your blog posts to see what you have come up with.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

WWC70 - The Winner!

It's that time again.  Today we pick our winners.  It's good to see both familiar names and new names among the link-ups joining the challenges.  Sketch challenges are fun.  As long as the sketch is recognizable in the card, everything is good.  It's great seeing how many different interpretations there can be from one simple sketch.  Unfortunately one of our participants could not be included for the voting since her card was linked to more challenges rather than the four (including ours) to which we restrict the link-ups.

This week our hostess, Marsha Reed, had the difficult job of choosing one winner out of the excellent cards that were linked up.  In the end, Marsha chose Vicki Hodgman's wonderful Joy Fold card.  Not only would her card have had the "wow" factor by simply having followed the sketch, but to have followed the sketch and also have produced a special fold---kudos to you, Vicki!

Vicki Hodgman

Vicki, we hope you'll display your winner's badge, shown below, proudly on your blog.

Our Honourable Mentions were chosen by the remaining Watercooler Artists.  Congratulations to Betty Lee and Heather Hopson for your wonderful interpretations of the sketch.

Betty and Heather, we hope you'll each proudly display the badge, shown below, on your blogs.

And, a special thank you as well to Fiona, Melissa, Steffi, Heather, and Tip Top for linking their wonderful cards.

Please remember to come back tomorrow (June 8th) for the new Watercooler Wednesday challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.
