WWC73 - Gail's Clean & Simple "Summer" Theme Challenge

Welcome to our new Watercooler Wednesday challenge.  This week we feature a challenge that's perfect for this time of year, and that's Gail's Clean & Simple "Summer" theme challenge.  "Clean and simple", generally speaking,  would mean keeping layers to a minimum, leaving a great deal of white space, and having a minimal amount of embellishing or none at all. White space does not have to be white.  It can be whatever colour the main layer of the card happens to be.  Is that as clear as mud?  Well, with this week's Summer Solstice on Monday, we hope you'll be inspired by some terrific "summery" samples by the Watercooler Artists.

We begin with our hostess, Gail Allen, who has used the Sitting Here stamp set simply and beautifully.  For details on Gail's card and those of the other Watercooler Artists, simply click on the name beneath the card and you will "instantly" be taken to the appropriate blog post.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

          1.  This must be a new project---no back-linking to a previous post.
          2.  You must link your project back to our challenge (details at top of page).
          3.  You must link directly to your post, not simply your general blog.
          4.  Please link to no more than 4 challenges, including ours.
          5.  Have fun!

Please use the link-up below to share your project.  This Linky will close on Monday, June 27th at noon Mountain Daylight Time.

  1. Oops - first again off on holiday on Saturday so didn't want to miss playing again - great inspiration from the DT

    1. Nothing wrong with being first, Fiona. Especially when you've linked up such a lovely card.

  2. Please remove my entry - sorry to have fallen short - thanks!

  3. I was unable to leave a comment on Steffi's post, because I'd have to join Yahoo, so I'm leaving it here.
Steffi: Love those little pineapples Steffi, they add a bright summery feel to your card. Thanks for sharing and joining this week's Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.

  4. Lynn Starzl - for some reason your site won't accept my valid email :( so I couldn't leave my comment - but I love your CAS card with the ladybugs! Thanks for joining our challenge. ~Deborah
