WCC25 -- Kath's Photo Inspiration Challenge

Welcome to our new challenge.  This one is brought to you by Kath Ricks, a long-term member of the Watercooler Artists.  Kath has put together a photo inspiration challenge for us and this one is lots of fun.  What do you do with a photo inspiration challenge?  You can use the colours in the photo or the objects themselves or use the photo as your theme.  A photo inspiration is just that---an inspiration.  Here is Kath's lovely photo:

This is a Mandarin duck.  The colours are wonderful, aren't they?  To start off Challenge WCC25, here is Kath's card, using the water and colours as her inspiration.  Kath has used the colour palette from the inspiration photo for her background and colouring. Yours can be as vibrant as those in the photo inspiration or you can even use the duck itself and its feathers.  It is the inspiration that the photo gives you, not necessarily a copy of the photo (although that, too, can be your choice).  You'll see examples of some of the choices that can be made as we present the cards submitted by the Watercooler Artists.  You can find out all the details regarding Kath's card by clicking on her name, below her card, just as you can for any of the cards submitted by the other Watercooler Artists.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

WCC24 -- Stefanie's Sketch Challenge

Welcome to our new challenge.  This one is brought to you by Stefanie Pletscher, a long-term member of the Watercooler Artists.  Stefanie has put together a wonderful sketch challenge for us.  The theme is wide open, but Graduation and Father's Day are right around the corner if you need a starting point.  Here is the sketch for our new challenge:

To start off Challenge WCC24, here are some amazing cards created by the Watercooler Artists to get your creative juices flowing.  You can see that the cards use the sketch in a variety of ways.  Feel free to set the sketch on its side, flip it right over, or use it as it is shown.  As long as it remains recognizably related to this sketch, we welcome your interpretation.

You'll see examples of some of the choices that can be made as we present our cards.  You can find out all the details regarding the cards by clicking on the name of the Watercooler Artist, below each card.  By the way there is also a Sneak Peek alert!  Some of the cards you will see use one or more of the new products that will be available in the brand new Annual Catalogue on June 2nd.

WCC23 -- No winner this week!

We stated earlier that we would have a winner if we received 3 or more link-ups to our challenge.  Unfortunately that didn't happen this time but we had two wonderfully creative participants whose cards the whole team of Watercooler Artists enjoyed.  Thanks so much, Susie and Sheri.  We hope you'll join us for the next Watercooler Challenge which will begin on Sunday, May 17th.

We invite you to tell your friends about us so that the minimum of three will be met next time.  In our opinions, however, you are both winners for this challenge.  Thanks for joining us.

WCC23 -- Marsha's Mother's Day Flowers

Welcome to our new challenge.  This one is brought to you by Marsha Reed, a long-term member of the Watercooler Artists.  Marsha has put together a photo inspiration challenge for us and this time it's all about flowers.  Mother's Day, after all, is just around the corner.  What do you do with a photo inspiration challenge?  You can use the colours in the photo or the objects themselves or use the photo as your theme.  A photo inspiration is just that---an inspiration.  Here is Marsha's lovely photo:

WCC23

To start off Challenge WCC23, here is Marsha's card, using the flowers as her inspiration.  Marsha has created a lovely Mother's Day card featuring a vase filled with flowers.  Her colours are muted but this is a personal choice.  Yours can be as vibrant as those in the photo inspiration or even black and white.  It is the inspiration that the photo gives you, not necessarily a copy of the photo (although that, too, can be your choice).  You'll see examples of some of the choices that can be made as we present the cards submitted by the Watercooler Artists.  You can find out all the details regarding Marsha's card by clicking on her name, below her card, just as you can for any of the cards submitted by the other Watercooler Artists.

WCC22 -- Heidi's Combination Challenge

Welcome to our new challenge.  This one is brought to you by Heidi Weaver, another long-term member of the Watercooler Artists.  Heidi has put together a combination challenge for us.  What does that mean?  We're suggesting a watercolour background combined with a silhouette.  Do you have to use watercolour paper?  Not at all.  Whatever paper works to give you the results you want, that's the right type of paper.  The beauty of using various types of paper is that it lets you see all the wonderful and varies results that are possible depending on the medium.

To start off Challenge #WCC22, here is Heidi's card, using watercolour paper.  You'll notice that Heidi has kept her colours muted.  This is, again, personal choice.  Yours can be as muted or a vivid as you wish.  Your silhouette, too, can be other than black.  If white or gold work better for you, go for it.  You'll see examples of just those choices among the cards submitted by the Watercooler Artists.  You can find out all the details regarding Heidi's card by clicking on her name, below her card, just as you can for any of the cards submitted by the other Watercooler Artists.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.

WCC21 -- The Winner

Choosing this week's winner was difficult.  We had such wonderful submissions and were almost equally divided in our choices.  But there can, unfortunately, be only one winner of the badge.

Congratulations to the winner of our colour challenge, Penny Hanuszak.  Penny's card shows off Susan's colours beautifully.

Penny has been a frequent participant in the Watercooler Challenge.  We trust she will continue to share her projects with us.

This is the badge which Penny has won.  We invite her to wear it proudly on her blog.

Please remember to come back tomorrow (Sunday, April 19th) for our new challenge and the wonderful creations by the Watercooler Artists.

WCC21 -- Susan's Colour Challenge

Welcome to our new challenge.  This one is brought to you by Susan Horr, one of our talented Watercooler Artists.  Susan has put together a colour challenge for us.  These are all Stampin' Up! colours therefore if you are using another brand, please try to use colours as close as possible to the ones posted.

To start off Challenge WCC21, here is Susan's card, using her wonderful colours.   Don't those stripes look great?  Susan's clean and simple style really makes an impact, doesn't it?  Just like Susan, you can use white (or very vanilla) in addition to the colours in the challenge.  You can find out all the details regarding Susan's card by clicking on her name, just below her card.  This also applies to the cards presented by the remaining Watercooler Artists.

And now it's your turn.  You can join us by linking up your creation with the InLinkz at the bottom of this challenge.
